While all that most British homes currently have on their roof is snow, that could be about to change with the launch of a new comparison website.
CompareMySolar.co.uk is a brand new internet service that allows property owners to compare solar panels and solar installers online.
The company offers a unique online tool with which users can select their own home on the map, allowing them to explore the solar potential of their roof and compare prices for equipment and fitting.
“With snow on their roof most people might not think about it, but now is a good time for consumers to learn about solar panels for their home,” said Gertjan van der Goot, director of the firm.
He added, “The solar panel market in the UK is booming. The number of accredited solar panel installers has grown tenfold in just 18 months – from about 100 to over 1,000 installers.”
With so much to consider, from the cost of investment to panel positioning and potential subsidies from the government, van der Goot suggested that many consumers have struggled weighing up their solar options in the past.
“No need for any of this anymore, because CompareMySolar makes solar energy easy and accessible,” he concluded.
